I have two pirate crazy kids: a five-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. Unfortunately, Pirates of the Carribean will be closed when we go in May. Any other pirate-type things we can do? Any chance of meeting Captain Hook?

    Yo ho, Jenn!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I've got some pirate crazy kids myself so I've got a few ideas!

First, you could make a reservation to have your little ones transformed into swashbuckling buccaneers at The Pirates League in Magic Kingdom park. This fun experience begins with each recruit being given an official pirate name and then being sworn in by the veteran pirates. It all ends with a special surprise and some loot to take home. Be sure to stick around for the Parade of Pirates for all of the new recruits.

While you are in Adventureland, check out Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial for some sword training from the Captain himself and then set out to search for some hidden treasure at A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas. This interactive quest will certainly entertain your little scallywags with five hidden treasures to search for in Adventureland.

Last but not least, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is a fun adventure on Seven Seas Lagoon with a stunning view of Wishes nighttime spectacular. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee will also be there to meet everyone before setting sail.

So grab yer mateys and get ready for some pirate fun on your upcoming vacation. Arrrggghhh! And please let us know if you have any other questions.
