We are two parties, one staying at the Campsites at Fort Wilderness and the other at the Lodge. Is there a great distance between (short walk)? Also, where is the best place to meet to go to parks, meals?

    Sheila:

A one-mile walking trail separates Wilderness Lodge from Fort Wilderness or you can take the boat launch, which will stop at the Contemporary resort, also.  In my opinion, I wouldn't meet up at your resorts before you head to the parks or to eat....

As for the best place to meet for the parks: I would take each resort's own transportation to the parks and then meet near the baggage check line in front of the park before heading in.  For meals, I'd either plan on eating in the parks or leaving the parks together and heading to your meals.  Then you can head back to your resort after you've eaten.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
