We have two kids (7&9) & are going to Disney for a week next month. We are on the Deluxe Family Dining Plan. Do you suggest we have dining reservations for breakfast, lunch & dinner each day? I made dinner reservations but I'm afraid to over

I don't think you necessarily need reservations scheduled for three meals each day, Karen.  I do, however, think it's very important to reserve the restaurants that are very important to you, whether you want to visit at breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  You might have a little one who simply must eat breakfast with Cinderella, for instance.  In that case, by all means reserve that meal!  Once you've got your must-do's reserved, you can take a more laid-back approach and leave it to chance during your trip.  I think you'll find that restaurants will be more willing to take walk-ups at lunch than at dinner.  Also, don't rule out dining at some of the more obscure places (Restaurant Marrakesh, Grand Floridian Cafe and Nine Dragons Restaurant are all good examples).  If all else fails, as long as you're willing to use some of your meal credits at counter-service locations you should be fine.  Enjoy your vacation!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
