We have two kids. Should we take a double carriage which is cumbersome but allows them both to lay down and has storage or take a single carriage and an umbrella stroller which is hard to carry when we are not using it? Disney carriages wont work/baby.

    Hey, John. It's Joel. Let's talk. Man-to-man, mano-a-mano.

I agree with you about the Disney strollers. They stink. You just said it more politely.

But now the gloves come off.

If your kids will lay down and/or nap in your double stroller, seize the opportunity, man! Don't sacrifice the short lived personal satisfaction that comes with the ease of collapsing an umbrella stroller with the long term comfort (and occasional slumber) your kids will experience in the double stroller.

At most, a Disney Transportation System bus takes 15 minutes to get you from your resort to one of the parks. Before boarding, you'll have to collapse the stroller and carry it on board. As fathers, it's our responsibility to grin and bear it; to take one for the team. Then the pain is over - a pain you freely accepted.

Your kids and your wife may not directly thank you for it, but you'll have a much more enjoyable time in the parks, better rested kids and fewer grey hairs upon your return by going with the double stroller.
