I have two kids with allergies and a husband who prefers to eat vegan. What restaurants would you suggest for a great dining experience for them. Also, related to this...where is Chef TJ (Tjetjep Sudiswa) working now?

    Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel! One of the best things about making reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant is that they always take care of their guests. Regardless of allergies, or dietary preferences, the chefs at Table Service restaurants love to provide magical dining experiences. If you plan to dine at a Table Service restaurant, I suggest making a note of any allergies and dietary preferences in the notes section of your reservation. Also, be sure to remind the host and Cast Member of those requests once you check in for your reservation. This alerts the chefs that you may need a special meal created, or a bit of guidance through the menu, in order to find a meal to your liking. Most chefs will even come out of the kitchen to visit with you, and ask what you would enjoy having for your meal.

As for the famous Chef TJ, word on Main Street is that he's currently working the kitchen of Trail's End Restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. If you call to make you reservation, you can request a day and time when he's working. I've heard his vegan creations are heavenly!

I hope this information helps you, Cynthia. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask us anytime. We're always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
