Hi, Moms! Two important food questions ... 1. is Pop Century the only place to get tie-dye cheesecake and 2. seeing that T-Rex Cafe is on the 2012 dining plan, can I get our food to go if the restaurant is too overwhelming for my autistic daughter?

    Hi Rochelle,

I love Disney food questions!  Thank you for submitting your delectable inquiry.

I'm glad you've heard about the tie-dye cheesecake at Disney's Pop Century Resort.  When I stayed there last May, I was delighted to make this tasty discovery.  I have to say, despite extensive travels throughout Walt Disney World, I've only ever found the tie-dye cheesecake at Disney's Pop Century Resort.  This dessert fits in so well with their 60's themed building.

As for eating at T-Rex in Downtown Disney, be sure to alert the hostess when you arrive that you'd prefer a table in a less stimulating environment, if possible.  Sometimes tables at the periphery of the restaurant are less overwhelming.  If, however, your daughter finds the environment unsettling, I'm sure your server would be happy to wrap up your dinners so you could enjoy them elsewhere.

Best wishes for a magical 2012 Disney vacation!
