Greetings, Sharon, and welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner – can you already smell the churros and hear the music of the Disneyland Band?
As a fellow animal lover, I completely understand wanting to bring your feline family members along for this special trip. Unfortunately, I don't have the most paws-itive news for you, Sharon.
The Disneyland Resort does not have facilities on the property for pets. Many Guests traveling with their furry companions have found boarding options in the Anaheim area – you can search online to find some locations to contact.
Certain Good Neighbor hotels may also be an option. These are Disney-approved hotels that are close to the Disneyland Resort. Use the
search function on the Disneyland website and select the "Pet Friendly" filter under "Amenities" to find some hotel options to consider – I suggest contacting them prior to booking to ensure their pet policy includes cats.
Having owned cats, I think boarding would be a less stressful and more secure option. That said, it all depends on your preferences and your cats' personalities.
While you're enjoying the parks, why not scoop up a souvenir or two for your cats? I've seen pet items at various shops, such as
World of Disney and
Disney Home. You can also bring a couple photos of your cats to the caricature artist in
New Orleans Square and ask if they could illustrate a fun memento for you to bring home.
While strolling through
Fantasyland, stop by the Cheshire Cat sculpture near
Alice in Wonderland – you'll find it between the attraction and the nearest restrooms. It's one of my favorite details in the area!
Sharon, I hope you have a purr-fect visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions between now and your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
