I have two hotel rooms at Disney and I am wondering how that works for linking to Disney app? Also with purchasing genie plus

    Hi, Jennifer!  Welcome to planDisney!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a couple of weeks away!  You must be getting so excited to kick off the new year at The Most Magical Place on Earth, so let's chat about how your group can manage your plans using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

You can link your Disney Resorts Collection reservations to your My Disney Experience account by clicking on the three lines in the bottom-right corner of your screen when you open your My Disney Experience mobile app.  From the menu screen, select "Future Plans," and scroll down until you see the "Link to Account" button.  When you click on "Link to Account," you'll want to then select "Type ID" and enter your resort reservation confirmation number and the last name on your reservation.  This will link your resort hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account, and you can do this same process for each of your resort reservations.

Once your reservations are linked, you'll need to list the Guests who are staying in each resort room.  If the other Guests in your party do not have their own My Disney Experience accounts, you can simply create profiles for them under your account.  However, if anyone in your group has their own account, you'll want to add them to your My Disney Experience Family & Friends List.  To do this, open your My Disney Experience mobile app again and find "My Profile" on the menu screen.  Under "My Profile," click on "Show My Linking Code."  If you are with the other members of your party, you can have them scan your linking code to join their Family & Friends List, or simply follow the prompts to manually enter a code if you're not together.

Once everyone in your party is listed in each other's My Disney Experience Family & Friends List, you'll be able to make plans together using the Disney Genie+ service.  When you use your My Disney Experience mobile app to purchase the Disney Genie+ service, you will be asked which members of your party you wish to purchase the service for.  You may select any Guest in your Family & Friends List who has valid theme park admission (and a theme park reservation, if needed) for that day, and buy the Disney Genie+ service for them.  Once your purchase is made, you'll then be able to use your app to book Lightning Lanes for everyone in your party.

Jennifer, if you run into any issues with linking your resort hotel reservations to your My Disney Experience account or with setting up your Family & Friends List, feel free to call the Help Center.  On the Help Center webpage, you'll find phone numbers listed for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and My Disney Experience.  Just give one of those numbers a call, and a friendly Cast Member will be able to take a look at your account and help you out.

Wishing you a happy new year and a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
