If I have two hotel confirmations at Boardwalk, for instance, connecting days just different rooms due to availability/price, how doe that impact timing and availability to purchase lightning lanes? Can I still do 7 days ahead for the entire trip?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Anika!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney!  How exciting that you have an upcoming stay at a Disney's BoardWalk Inn.  I love the location of this Resort with its proximity to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios! Plus, with the dining and entertainment options on the BoardWalk, it sure adds more magic to our vacation.

Anika, as long as your "split stay" Disney Resort reservations are consecutive, or back-to-back, then you can reserve Lightning Lanes for the duration of your stay at both resorts, all at the same time. Your booking window will open up 7 days prior to that first Disney Resort check-in date, beginning at 7 a.m. Eastern Time.

If you have an off-site gap, for example, a day in between reservations for your two Disney Resort stays, you'll have two different eligibility windows to book Lightning Lane passes. One window to reserve Lightning Lanes for use during your first stay dates, starting 7 days prior to check-in, and then another booking window for passes to use during your second Disney Resort stay, starting 7 days prior to that second check-in date.

Just make sure your reservations are linked to your My Disney Experience app, and all of the Guests staying in the room are on the reservation, and it is linked to their accounts too. This will ensure you can purchase and make your Lightning Lane selections at 7 days out from your first check-in date.

Now, one thing you can ask Cast Members when you check in - if the two room types are the same category - is if you can keep the same room for your two stays. If they are different room types or categories, then this wouldn't be possible. However, we had two reservations for consecutive nights on our last stay in a one-bedroom Villa. While we had two reservation numbers, the Front Desk Cast Members were able to make it so we didn't have to pack up, check out, and then check in to a new room since it was the same room type - just with two different check-in dates.

I hope this helps you, Anika!  If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see me.  I'll be right here, at the second star to the right and straight on 'til morning!

    Reach for the sky!
