    I will have two girls, 4 and 7 years old. Is it worth upgrading from the value to the contemporary hotel with the monorail? We will be visiting in July 2014.

    Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort feature excellent amenities that are worth the extra cost.
    Still, Value Resorts offer great rooms, theme and are conveniently located inside Disney´s property.

    Disney´s Contemporary Resort is my favorite choice for families spending most time at the Magic Kingdom.
    Guests can ride the Monorail or go for a 15 minute walk to the Magic Kingdom - the only resort within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom.
    Using the Monorail, guests can travel to the Transportation & Ticket Center and ride a second train to Epcot.

    The Contemporary Resort features California Grill - a superb culinary experience with an impressive view of the Magic Kingdom.
    Within the Monorail loop, guests can easily access all the restaurants at Disney´s Polynesian Resort or at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
    These three resorts also feature boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom.

    Disney´s Polynesian Resort is another excellent choice, being the only resort within walking distance (5 minutes) to the Transportation & Ticket Center.  At this resort you will find ´Ohana, my kid´s favorite Character Dining experience.

    Deluxe Resorts also feature awesome pools with the best water slides.

    Disney´s Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort are within walking distance (20 minutes) to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
    Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel and Swan Hotel are also within walking distance to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

    If you can afford it, Deluxe Resort will allow your family to visit certain parks and restaurants, besides featuring bigger and more elegant rooms.
