We have two girls 8 and14 years old. Do we need to have IDs for them when purchasing our park tickets? We are Florida residents and considering going to disney this upcoming weekend. Neither one of our girls have an ID and want to say they are too young.

    Hi Taylor,

Taking advantage of special discounts at Walt Disney World is one of the great bonuses of living in Florida. To purchase Florida resident tickets or annual passes, adults must show valid identification. Your children will not need ID as long as they are with you when purchasing their tickets.

You'll find the accepted forms of identification detailed here.

You also may want to check out the special resort rates for Florida residents that are available this summer.

There's so much new to see and do at Walt Disney World right now. Pandora -- The World of Avatar opened last month at Animal Kingdom, and it's amazing. Guests at Walt Disney World resorts can take advantage of special Extra Magic Hours there -- from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily -- through July 4.

And don't miss the newly debuted Happily Ever After fireworks and projection show at Magic Kingdom.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Taylor. Enjoy your visit with your family!
