Hi there, Olivia!
Thanks for bringing your
Disneyland Resort question to us at
planDisney. You and your friends are going to have a wonderful time making memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth!
In my experience, Cast Members usually allow
Guests with disabilities using a wheelchair or ECV to be seated near their party, and they may be permitted to enter viewing areas to get settled before other Guests. Each show may have different policies, so it’s best to arrive early and find a Cast Member to ask in advance. Many times, Guests can either stay in their wheelchair or ECV in designated areas with their companions or transfer to a seat or bench, if available, while the mobility device is parked elsewhere. For example, the viewing area for
World of Color – ONE has a select number of benches for Guests with a mobility disability to sit on while their party may stand next to them to view the show.
It may be helpful to review the complete list of services for
Guests with mobility disabilities before your trip. I definitely recommend checking out the list of wheelchair- and ECV-accessible
attractions and those that may require Guests to transfer from their ECV or walk by themselves while enjoying the experience. Also, if your friend has any specific questions about these services in relation to their personal situation, they can send an email directly to disability.services@disneyland.com.
I hope this information is helpful, Olivia, and that your trio’s vacation is pixie-dusted to perfection! Please feel free to
write back with any other planning questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
