Barbara from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My two friends and their autistis sons have never been to Disney. I live in Florida,I am treating them this year. I have to pay for the airfare as well as a place for us to stay. How can I get the tckets at reasonable prices so we can afford more days?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Barbara!

Welcome to planDisney and happy planning! I am so happy to hear about this big trip you are looking to plan with your friends. I’m a natural giver and spreading the magic of Walt Disney World with those you love is truly magic in itself. Fortunately, Walt Disney World does an incredible job of providing a great variety of Special offers.

It seems like you are planning for a holiday visit during the most magical time of the year, so hang tight on additional offerings. The current offers are geared toward summer visits, and historically, winter offerings have been announced in late spring/early summer. Hopefully, soon, we will see those offerings come out so that you can find additional savings for this magical trip. As a Florida resident, you do have a few additional savings offered to yourself.  I recommend checking those out because the way I see it is if you can save on your visit, then the budget can shift and be used towards your guests.

Another way to possibly save is by rooming together! I recommend taking a look at the family suites at All-Star Music or Art of Animation. These rooms are large enough for six guests and allow you to take advantage of all the other resort benefits. One of my favorites is Early Theme Park Entry. Especially since we are a family of early risers, we like to be there the minute the theme park opens so this is one of our favorite benefits.

Barbara, I hope this helps guide your planning. I recommend beginning to price things out so that you can get a general idea of the overall cost. Keep your eyes on the Walt Disney World official website and the Disney Parks Blog for announcements of additional savings. Once you find one that aligns with your dates, that’s when you’ll want to book. In the meantime, please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.

    See ya real soon,

When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for!
