Are a two and four year old too young for the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?

BOO to you, Sarah, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

From Mickey-shaped pumpkins to our Disney pals dressed in their Halloween costumes to special spooky treats, I love everything about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! And, as the song says, "it's really not so scary," so you can definitely bring your little ones to this fun and family-friendly Halloween event at the Walt Disney World Resort.

It will be a late night with the party usually starting at 7 p.m., so you'll want to do a little planning ahead. First, I'd schedule in some downtime for the morning after the party. That may be a good day to hang out at your Resort hotel with a leisurely breakfast and maybe enjoy some pool time to recharge.

On party day, try to get in a nap for your little ones in the afternoon, and have dinner before you go. I'd also bring a stroller along so they can rest in it if they need to. The Baby Care Center will be open during the party, so you can stop in there for a break and a snack.

And just know you don't have to do everything! Most of the fun is getting dressed up in costumes and just enjoying the atmosphere. Do a little trick-or-treating, ride a couple of rides, take some photos, watch the first Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and then call it a night if your little goblins start to fade. You'll have a spooktacular time even if you don't make it through the whole thing.

Sarah, I hope this helps you plan a not-so-scary visit to Walt Disney World. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
