Ahoy there, Lauren!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like your crew is nearly ready to sail off into the sunset, and I’m so glad you dropped anchor here to ask a great planning question! With my trusty magnifying glass and a little help from Basil of Baker Street, I did some sleuthing and it looks like your voyage may be on the Disney Wish or
the Disney Magic—two of my personal favorites. No matter which one you're sailing, you're in for a voyage worthy of a storybook ending.
Let’s talk treasure—specifically, how you can pay for your cruise goodies with more than one form of payment. The good news is: absolutely, yes! Disney makes it pretty smooth sailing.
When you complete your
Online Check-In, you’ll be prompted to enter a credit or debit card to cover onboard charges. You can assign one card to cover everyone in your stateroom or assign different cards to individual Guests. Here’s where it gets fun: whoever taps their Key to the World card or DisneyBand+ when making a purchase will have that expense charged to their folio. So if one of your sailing party has a tendency to go full Princess Tiana and “dig a little deeper” in the shops, it’ll go to their chosen payment method.
If you want to divide payments for your onboard charges between two credit cards (like 50/50, or a set dollar amount per card), you’ll want to stop by Guest Services once onboard. Just let them know your preference, and they’ll help you chart the right course. I’ve done this myself, and the Cast Members make it super smooth—no need to feel like you're trying to outwit Jafar.
Now, if you're hoping to
use a Disney Gift Card (or a few!), you’ve got options! You’ll still input a credit card during check-in, but you can also head over to the
Onboard Gifts section before you sail and use your Disney Gift Card to purchase onboard credit for your stateroom. This credit will be applied first, before any charges hit your credit card. Prefer to wait until you’re onboard? Just stop by Guest Services, and a friendly Cast Member can add those Disney dollars right to your account. If you're traveling with
multiple gift cards, you can even combine them (up to $1,000 each) to streamline the process. It’s like assembling your own financial Voltron!
If instead you’re asking about using two forms of payment to make your final cruise payment, you’ll want to
give Disney Cruise Line a quick call to process it, or reach out to your travel agent if that’s how you booked. They’ll make sure your payment plan gets its happily ever after!
I hope this helps chart a course for smooth seas ahead as you prepare for your magical sailing. And if you’re
on the Wish—keep an eye out for the AquaMouse. Trust me, it’s “splash-tacular!”
Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
Dustin
