Two families traveling together but 2 separate reservations. ? Is, can we book dining together so we can sit together but each family can get their own bill & pay with their own dining plan?

    Hi, Michelle!

Traveling with another family can be so much fun, and Disney makes it very easy for each family to keep track of their own dining credits.

When making your Dining Reservations book for your ENTIRE party.   When seated, tell your server that you need separate checks.  The server will need just one Key to the World card from each party, and the correct number of credits will be deducted for each family.

When your bill comes, it will include the gratuity that you will need to pay.  If your total party is 6 or more guests, an automatic 18% will be added on, plus any "extras" you ordered during your meal, such as alcoholic beverages or specialty drinks.

Have a great time traveling with your second family, and if you need one more, let me know - my family can get their bags packed in a jiffy and join you ;) !   Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
