Two families are traveling together. First family of 5 is on a budget. Second family of 4 is not and wants a kitchen. Family 1 at PO-R and Family 2 at Saratoga might work? Your thoughts? Is travel between the two resorts difficult?

Hi, Glen!    I think it will be fun for each family to be at a different resort.  That way you can visit each other and get to experience both places!

Getting to Saratoga Springs from Port Orleans Riverside is really quite easy, and actually a very nice commute!  From Riverside, take the boat to Downtown Disney.  From here, you can take the walkway over to Saratoga Springs (about a 15 minute walk.)   There is also bus transportation to Saratoga Springs from Downtown Disney, but it really is just as quick to walk.   Downtown Disney will a great place for you to meet for meals and shopping.

I hope both families have a great stay (and maybe the family at Saratoga Springs can cook you dinner one night since they have the kitchen :) !)

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
