Two families are planning a trip a stay in the Fort Wilderness cabins. I understand Disney will not guarantee we can get the cabins next to each other. Anyone have history with this and know if its likely our cabins will be near each other?

Hi Kimberly - in my experience, while Disney does not guarantee any room/cabin requests, they will certainly do their best to try to accommodate any requests you make.

I'd recommend that you call Fort Wilderness directly about ten days before your arrival and reiterate your request.  Ask to speak to the "back office" and be very specific about what you are looking for.  Because Disney generally assigns rooms/cabins days in advance, if you wait until you arrive to ask, it'll be difficult for them to accommodate if the resort is full.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
