Hi Lindsay!
Welcome aboard and thanks for your question! I know that choosing a stateroom can feel a little overwhelming. Let's talk about some things to consider to help pick the perfect room!
It's great that you already know you want to sail on the
Disney Wish. That means we can use the deck plans online to explore the ship to see where you'd like to stay! There are lots of personal preferences that go into picking a stateroom, but some things I like to consider are:
- What areas of the ship will we visit most? If you're planning to swim often you might choose Deck 9 or 10 for quick access to the pools. For closer access to the theaters, lounges, and dining rooms you could look at Deck 6 or 7.
- Do you like to be centrally located or in a more quiet spot? I like to stay toward the middle of the ship to minimize the motion (especially if anyone is worried about seasickness) and make it easy to pop back to my room during the day. I'm totally willing to go a deck up or down to stay in the middle of the ship! But some guests prefer to go Forward or Aft to minimize the people passing by their rooms.
Since you already know you want a
verandah you know you'll be looking at rooms on the upper decks. When you're ready to book your cruise you'll want to do a couple of things to make sure you get connecting staterooms.
Using the
"Find a Cruise" page you can filter for the month and ship you want to book, then add the number of passengers. When you click the button to add guests there's an option to "Add Another Stateroom" so you can add the right number of people to each room. When you've picked a cruise the site will prompt you to confirm your travel party. On that page, there's a switch you want to slide on for "Connecting Rooms" before you hit the "Confirm Travel Party" button.
The next page lets you choose your stateroom category. The top of the page will list the different categories, and you can click each one to see what is available. You'll want to click "Verandah" and then choose a room category. On the Disney Wish you'll find verandah rooms on Deck 6-10. Once you choose a deck you'll go to the deck plan to pick your actual staterooms. Then just finish your booking!
One of my favorite parts of having a verandah is ordering
Room Service and enjoying a snack outside. We often order breakfast the night before to enjoy in the morning or get a cheese plate to munch on in the afternoon while we get cleaned up after swimming. It's so relaxing, you'll love having the ocean breezes right there waiting for you!
I hope that helps you decide on a stateroom, Lindsay! Please sail over again if you have more questions.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
