Ahoy Georgia - welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for swimming by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Disney Cruise Line adventures!
It's so great to hear that you're finally able to enjoy the magic of a Disney Cruise Line sailing! Oh, and let me just say that I'm super jealous that you've been able to visit all of the Disney Theme Parks - I still have a few to check off my list!
Georgia, I know it may be disappointing if you've been told there will not be fireworks on your cruise. I'm not able to confirm that, but if it is the case, I do have a hunch as to why. You see, Disney Cruise Line was a pioneer in offering Guests these magical light shows in the sky, but there are restrictions in some parts of the world that prevent them from being offered. Given that the itinerary I believe you're taking (based on the date you provided) stays relatively close to shore as it explores the enchanting British Isles, there may be governmental regulations that do not allow the use of fireworks in the open water within a certain distance of the coast. Trust me, Mickey absolutely loves putting on these shows, and these rules and weather are the only thing that usually can get in the way.
Your cruise is actually a
Silver Anniversary at Sea sailing, and thus quite far from "low budget" as you describe! This is a unique itinerary and I'm sure that the crew has some extra special magic in store for you. Just be sure to download and regularly check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to stay "in the know" about everything going on when you're onboard!
Georgia, I hope this information helps your planning efforts –
stop by any time with additional questions!
Bon voyage!
