    Hello! Two dining plan questions. Does my 10 year old have to order of the adult menu or can he select from child's? With the DDP I thought we received an app, entrée and dessert but I read differently in one of the mom's panel answers? Thanks very m

    Hello Patricia, thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We always purchase the Disney Dining Plan with our Walt Disney World vacation and love it, but I can see the problem you are facing.  I have a very picky 7 year old, I am sure I will be in the same situation in a few years. 

    In all honesty, it is up to the discretion of the restaurant.  Most restaurants, if not all, will let her order a plate from the children's menu.  They may even modify the portions to make it more of an adult size plate.  I've had my daughter order items at table service meals that aren't even on a children's menu before and we were able to make it work with the Disney Dining Plan.  A lot of restaurants are very accommodating.  If your daughter sees something she may like on the adult menu, they will do their best to modify it to her liking.  I would suggest looking into the buffet options at Walt Disney World.  I am certain she would be able to find something she likes at those.  

    Depending on what Disney Dining Plan you've selected, you receive different things.  If you have selected the standard Dining Plan your table service credit allows you 1 entree, 1 non alcoholic beverage and 1 dessert.  If you are on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan your table service credit would allow you an appetizer along with your entree, dessert and beverage.
