Can you be on two different parties at the same time with genie plus. As an example, two families want to ride together for most rides but there are some that one family cannot do due to child’s age and would like to do another ride ar the same time

Hey Howdy Hey Matt and welcome to planDisney!

A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is one that the whole family can share. Taking trips with multi-generations and with variable ages may involve times when certain members have one experience while others have a separate one. Either way, the theme park experience is flexible and can be adapted to all circumstances. Thank you for stopping with your question on Genie+ usage in situations such as these. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into how this will work for your upcoming trip.

One of the huge benefits of a trip to Walt Disney World with larger parties is the ability to share plans through your My Disney Experience accounts. This allows everyone to be on the same page with dining reservations and theme park experiences. When it comes time for your day in the parks, you can purchase Genie+ right from your My Disney Experience app. You will be prompted at this step on which members of your party you may want to purchase Genie+ for. This will be a similar experience for booking Lightning Lanes.

Once Genie+ is purchased, you then have the option to book Lightning Lanes for as many in your group as you need. This will ensure that everyone has a similar experience for each attraction to keep your party together. At the same time, this will also work if your party wants to split up. A few might want to experience some more thrilling attractions such as Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom while others take flight at Peter Pan's Flight. You will have the option to select which members experience which attractions and parties do not have to be exclusive to certain members. So your plans can be as flexible as you need them to be!

During your days in the park, another huge opportunity for you to save time involves Mobile Ordering food and drinks. In most locations in each park, you can order food and drinks right from your My Disney Experience app so they can be prepared and waiting for you so you don't have to wait in line. Simply log into your My Disney Experience app and select the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and then the "Order Food" tile. You will then have the option of where you would like to order from and an approximate time you expect to be around. Once the time comes and you are close to the location you will be prompted to select a button "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" and the Cast Members will get right on it! It is super easy to do and can save you a ton of time going from one attraction to the next.

I hope this information helps better understand your options when it comes to making your Lightning Lane selections. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,
