If I have two days to spend in DLand with an 8 year old- what would you suggest? I am not reserving any special restaurants- nothing fancy. What should we not miss? Should we bother with Downtown Disney?

Hi again, Hope! I bet you are getting super excited about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort!

You can certainly do a lot in two days if you plan ahead! Here is what I suggest:

    • Devote one day to Disneyland Park and one to Disney California Adventure Park. If you think that you might want to start and end your trip with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle, purchase Park Hopper tickets. These will allow you to hop back and forth between the two parks during your trip, providing maximum flexibility.
    • Definitely don't miss Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park. This land is impeccably themed and truly a delight for Guests of all ages. Plus, Radiator Springs Racers is an exhilarating ride through all the iconic scenes of the Cars movie.
    • If the 8-year-old is into thrill attractions, then there are plenty to ride in both parks. My favorites include Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, California Screamin' and Space Mountain. Additionally, no trip to the Disneyland Resort is complete without hitting classic attractions like "it's a small world," Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Mad Tea Party
    • Finally, end your days with some fabulous nighttime entertainment! You can have your choice of World of Color, the Main Street Electrical Night Parade, Fantasmic! (returning July 17), and the "Remember...Dreams Come True" fireworks spectacular.

So many magical memories await you both. Have a fabulous visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
