With two days at Disneyland to explore both parks, what's the best way to experience the highlights and must-do activities for celebrating a toddler's birthday (2 years old)?

Hi there, Juliusha, and welcome to planDisney! What a joy to help you dream up birthday plans for your little Mouseketeer. A birthday at the Disneyland Resort is extra magical, and I can't wait get started!

With two full days to explore both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll have plenty of time to focus on toddler-friendly attractions and experiences. In Disneyland Park, Fantasyland is a must, with classics like “it’s a small world”, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant—all perfect for tiny adventurers. Since your visit will be during the holiday season, you’ll even get to enjoy “it’s a small world” Holiday, where the beloved attraction is dressed in dazzling lights, festive music, and seasonal décor from around the globe. And don’t forget to stop by Mickey’s Toontown, where little ones can run, climb, and play in Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard and CenTOONial Park. This section of the park is also home to one of my favorite attractions: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll find favorites like The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Cars Land is also a birthday dream come true—snap photos with Lightning McQueen and Mater, and take a gentle spin on Luigi's Joy to the Whirl (with seasonal touches arriving just in time for your visit!). Be sure to also stroll through Pixar Pier for midway games and a chance to meet beloved characters.

To make the celebration even more special, stop by a Guest Relations location to pick up a complimentary birthday button. Cast Members often add an extra sprinkle of pixie dust when they see little ones proudly wearing one! You might also consider a Character Dining experience for the special occasion—like Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn or Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. And here’s a pro tip, Juliusha: you can even mobile order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at select restaurants for a picture-perfect birthday surprise.

This birthday is bound to be the stuff of storybooks, Juliusha—balloons floating high, music in the air, and a sprinkle of pixie dust to keep the memories shining brighter than the fireworks.

    Have a magical day!
