I have a two day ticket and I would like to upgrade to a Key Holder pass. Is the only way to do that in person? Can I do it online?

    Hi Sarah,

Welcome to planDisney! I don't blame you one bit for wanting to upgrade your theme park ticket to a Magic Key pass! Not only will you be able to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth throughout the entire year, but you'll love all of the fantastic discounts and perks, too! Sounds like a win-win to me!

While most theme park tickets can be upgraded to a Magic Key pass, select promotional tickets (including the Southern California resident ticket), complimentary tickets, special event tickets, fully used tickets, and partially used but expired tickets may not be upgraded. If your ticket is eligible for an upgrade, though, I'm happy to share that you'll be able to do so within the handy dandy Disneyland mobile app. To upgrade your ticket, you'll simply need to do so on or before the last day of your ticket and pay the difference between the ticket you currently have and the Magic Key to which you'd like to upgrade.

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Sarah, and please come see us again if you have any other questions or would like some advice about any aspect of your visit. I hope you have a truly magical year soaking up all of the magic and fun during your Disneyland Resort adventures!
