Welcome to planDisney, Karina! I'm so glad to be able to answer a question for a fellow Texan today. I totally understand where you're coming from. Plans change, and sometimes that means your Disney dates do too!
While you can't put the purchase price of your
tickets towards a future resort stay, it does sound like you have a date-based ticket, and those are pretty flexible! Instead of letting your tickets go unused, you can change the dates you plan to use them so they still work for your schedule. You can do this right in the
My Disney Experience app, and I'm happy to walk you through it.
Open up the My Disney Experience app, tap on the main menu in the bottom right corner, and then select "Tickets and Passes." From there, find the ticket you want to modify and tap "Change Ticket" underneath it. You'll see an option to adjust the start date or the valid use window for that ticket. Select the new dates that work better for you, confirm the change, and you're all set! Just keep in mind that if the new dates fall into a higher-priced ticket period, you'll just need to pay the difference at checkout.
If you run into any trouble, maybe the ticket doesn't give you the option to modify, or you have a question about pricing, you can
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Ticket line. A Cast Member will be happy to walk you through your options and make the change for you.
I hope this answers your question, Karina, and hopefully the stars will align and we'll see you at Walt Disney World really soon!
