Hello, Jacqueline!
Welcome to planDisney. I am excited that you plan to visit Disneyland Resort next month! Mid-January is often a quieter time at "The Happiest Place on Earth," as the Holiday events have ended and new celebrations have not yet begun. Make sure to
pack a raincoat! It often rains and gets pretty chilly after the sun goes down in January.
Once purchased,
Disneyland theme park tickets cannot typically be reduced to fewer days or split into multiple tickets. A 2-Day Ticket generally has a lower per day cost than a 1-Day Ticket, making it difficult to split the tickets. I am sorry! You can always try calling the "
Tickets" line to see if they have other options for you.
Park reservations are needed to enter a theme park at Disneyland, even if the theme park tickets were purchased without making park reservations. I suggest making park reservations soon, as dates often become unavailable. This can be done on the
Disneyland website. Log in or create an account at the top of the homepage, and under "Tickets & Parks," select "
Theme Park Reservations." Below "If you’ve already purchased a ticket or Magic Key pass," choose "Make or Modify Park Reservations." It is very easy! Reservations can also be modified if your date changes (depending on park availability and the expiration date of the tickets).
I am glad that you have
Park Hopper Tickets, which allow Guests to start their day in one park and then visit the other park beginning at 11:00 a.m. (subject to park availability). My family often spends the day in one theme park and then heads to the second theme park for dinner and evening activities. It is the best of both worlds!
Jacqueline, I wish I had different news to share with you! Maybe your plans can be adjusted to visit Disneyland twice during your upcoming visit to the United States! I usually recommend a minimum of 2-3 days in the theme parks because there are so many things to see and do. Regardless of when you visit, I hope you have a wonderful time!
Magic Happens!
Jen
