Hi Ernest!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for finding us hEAR and asking these Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions!
The answers are a bit tricky right now as the
temporary closure and future
reopening of Disneyland Resort will most likely shift some of the ways of how we used to plan our Disney days, so I'm going with info from before the closure plus what we've hEARd since. The best advice I can give is to 'like' and 'follow' both the
Disney Parks Blog, which is the official source of Disney news straight from Mickey himself, as well as Disneyland Resort across all of your social media channels so you'll be sure to get the newest news as soon as it's announced. (Disneyland Resort has a facebook, twitter and instagram page. You'll know they are the official pages by the certified blue check marks next to the page name.)
Disneyland theme park ticket sales are currently paused, so definitely check back closer to the reopening for the most up-to-date pricing information. However, based on pre-closure info, the adult price for a two-day one-park-per-day ticket was *$235 and a 2-day Park Hopper was *$290. (*Again, these were the prices up until the closure. Do keep in mind that future prices are subject to change without warning.)
Attraction reservations (also known as FASTPASS) at Disneyland Resort are typically made the same day of your visit, unlike how prior to the closure Walt Disney World Resort offered FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days in advance. FASTPASS times can be reserved by scanning your theme park ticket at the kiosk near the entrance of each attraction, or can be made through your
Disneyland Mobile App by purchasing
MaxPass. The only attraction that required an extra step was the brand-new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in the land of Batuu, aka Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Prior to the closer, each guest needed to secure a "
virtual queue boarding pass" that basically provided a specified ride-window that allowed you to enjoy the rest of your Disney Day in the park, not in line. Boarding passes were distributed through your Disneyland Mobile App at the exact time that Disneyland Park opened to all park guests that day. We don't currently know if the same virtual queue system will be used once Disneyland Resort reopens, but feel free to check back in with us closer to your visit.
Dining Reservations used to be up for grabs starting 60 days before your desired dining date. Those are also currently paused, and we don't yet have a date of when they'll resume. However, when the time comes, you'll be able to make your reservation to the intergalactic hot spot
Oga's Cantina online, through your Disneyland Mobile App, or by calling (714) 781-Dine, or (714) 781-3463.
I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to provide more definitive information, Ernest. But I do hope that we'll have some better answers for you soon! And if you think of any more planning questions, We're All Ears!
