A two day park hopper pass to Disneyland in California can not be added to an Apple wallet? I was certain I had done this before.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jason!

You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney. Witnessing the merging of technology with Disney Parks experiences is a big reason I keep going back for more. It’s awesome to see visions of the future take shape, much like Walt anticipated.

Adding theme park tickets to a mobile wallet is included in the Disney MagicMobile Service currently available to Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It’s a part of Disney Parks MyMagic+. And I’ve got great news. Much of the MyMagic+ technology will be making its way to the Disneyland Resort soon. Later in 2022, MagicBand+ will be an option for Disneyland Resort Guests. I’m looking forward to using this new technology to experience the theme parks in a whole new way.

Until then, here are some other cool technology enhancements that can be enjoyed during your visit to the Disneyland Resort now:

    • Download the latest version of the Disneyland mobile app to explore dining, entertainment, and attractions
    • Unlock the phenomenal cosmic power of the Disney Genie service
    • Capture memories with Disney PhotoPass
    • Use the app to place mobile food and beverage orders at most quick-service dining locations
    • Use Merchandise Mobile Checkout to streamline your souvenir shopping at select locations
    • Download the Play Disney Parks app to enjoy hours of trivia, games, and more
    • Join the Resistance, or the First Order, or strike off on your own as you vie for control of the Black Spire Outpost in “Outpost Control” using the Star Wars: Datapad
    • Add a Disney Gift Card eGift to your mobile wallet for contactless payments at most locations throughout the Disneyland Resort

Tony’s Tip: Until the ability to add Disneyland Resort theme park tickets to a mobile wallet is available, you may enjoy similar convenience by capturing a screenshot of your ticket in the Disneyland mobile app and setting that as your Lock Screen image. If your Lock Screen is as cluttered with other notifications as mine usually is, consider flipping the image of the ticket upside down so the barcode is available to scan on the bottom of the screen. With some careful image cropping, I’ve even successfully placed my theme park ticket barcode image on my Apple Watch to scan at theme park entrances.

Enjoy your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Jason!
