Welcome to planDisney, Carol. I’m sorry to hear that your parents were unwell and unable to join you on your Walt Disney World holiday - I hope I can help your next Disney experience practically perfect in every way!
It sounds like you may have purchased your tickets while in the U.S.A. Here, theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on the start date you selected for them at the time of purchase and
must be used within the allotted use period. Tickets will expire after that use period ends, unfortunately.
If your ticket remains completely unused, you may be able to change the date by visiting
My Reservation and Tickets. The amount paid for an unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price so long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original tickets, subject to availability. If you still have further questions about your specific situation, I encourage you to speak to one of the
U.K.-based Disney Experts.August in Florida is warm; I recommend bringing a refillable water bottle. There are many bottle refill stations throughout the parks. Stay hydrated and spend your pennies on all the Dole Whips instead. Carol, I hope this information has helped you, and I wish happy and healthy trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Louise
