My two children will be 6 and 4. We are interested in staying at the All Star Movies resort, I thought it had the most of the magical feel to it!. But I was concerned about whether we really want a prefered room or standard. Any suggestions? Thanks

The big difference between the preferred rooms and standard rooms is location.  Preferred rooms are closer to the pool and the buses.  We realized if we stayed in a preferred room it would increase our hotel bill almost $100.00* for the week.  (*this was Fall of 2007, rates have increased) The preferred rate was higher per night than the standard rate.  I didn't find much value spending the extra money, I preferred to walk.  I could use that extra $100.00 for a character meal, or towards a dinner show.  The walk wasn't that much farther, and it was a bit quieter farther from the pool.  Hope you have a fabulous trip!!
