I have two children that are Autistic. I know we can get a DAS card for each of them. I know how to use the cards for each separately, but am unsure how to use them if we are all going on the same ride.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Misty!

You've asked a great question. This past spring the Disability Access Service (DAS) transitioned to an electronic system that utilizes a Guest's theme park admission media (MagicBand or ticket). I'm thrilled that I no longer have to keep up with a DAS card for my son!

Once the DAS is assigned, and the recipient is registered, the DAS is associated with all members of the recipient's party. When two family members require DAS, Cast Members make a note so that if all members of the party want to experience the same attraction, they can. When you obtain a DAS return time, simply let the Cast Member know that both DAS recipients, as well as others in the party, will be experiencing the attraction. The Cast Member will activate the DAS by scanning any member of the party's admission media. When it's time to experience the attraction, head back to the attraction's entrance making sure that the DAS recipients are the first to touch their media to the Mickey touch point. The Cast Member will then verify the DAS and recipients' pictures before allowing the rest of the party to scan their media to gain admittance to the attraction.

Keep in mind that this process is subject to change as they continue to work out the kinks with the electronic DAS system. I hope this helps to clarify! If you have further questions, please let me know!

    Have a magical day!
