Hi, Jaclyn!
I am so happy to hear that you are planning on some very much needed rest during your magical vacation. Well rested kids are HAPPY kids at Walt Disney World!
You might want to look at
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter. It is the smallest of the Moderate Resorts and has a very laid-back feel to it. Regardless of your room location, you are only minutes away from the pool, bus stop, or the food court area. The resort is centrally located so the bus rides to and from the parks are not too long. For the quietest room, book a river view room. I also like the courtyard view rooms as many face peaceful fountains or pleasant sitting areas. (Courtyard view rooms will be a bit cheaper than river view rooms.)
During your mid-day breaks, if a nap will not work, bring a ball or Frisbee to toss around in the green space just in front of Building 5. Or, take a leisurely walk (about 10 minutes) to sister resort Riverside where you can rent bicycles or even do some catch-and-release fishing! A fun dip in the pool is also a great way to be refreshed for the rest of the day. Your kids will love the whimsical water slide at the pool!
In the evenings, enjoy a relaxing movie under the stars, with a different Disney movie shown each night. It is a perfect way to wind down after a full day of fun in the parks!
To make your vacation more relaxing from start to finish, do not forget to book your Dining Reservations and your FastPass+ selections. A little pre-planning will make a world of difference for your magical trip to Walt Disney World.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Cathy
