Are there two bedroom suites available at Disney World resorts? Not a villa two separate bedroom suites

    Hi ya, Pam!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question. I’m here to share my favorite, larger resorts that aren’t considered a villa style. Hopefully, one of these homes away from home will be a perfect fit for your upcoming visit.

The rooms I have in mind are called Family Suites. There are two locations where you can find this style of room. The first is at All-Star Music and the other is at Art of Animation. Even though they are at different locations, both Family Suites can accommodate up to 6 adults. And they both offer a central sleeping area, as well as a separate bedroom that reminds me of a master bedroom minus the king-size features.

My family recently stayed at The Lion King Family Suites, and having the two bathrooms to get ready in the morning was the best part. It was so nice to have the extra space to spread out and not have to “wait my turn”. Plus, having the option to close off the queen bedroom door to create a more personal space was a nice touch. Especially since our traveling party included my family of four, and my sister and her partner. The younger crew stayed in the living area while my husband and I had that unofficial master suite I previously mentioned.

I recommend flipping through the pictures on each of the resort's accommodations pages to see if this is more your style. Depending on your party size, you could also book two separate rooms and place a request to have them reserved close to one another. Many years ago, we visited with my parents and requested conjoining rooms at POP Century. Pam, keep in mind, this is only a request, and Disney will do their best to make those accommodations possible. If this is something you're interested in, you'll want to give the Walt Disney World Reservations line a call when making your resort reservations to add this additional request.

Pam, I do hope these recommendations help you narrow down your search for the perfect room. Don’t forget to pop over to the current special offers page too. You might find some savings there that align with your travel dates!

Happy planning, and if there’s anything else we can do to help, please visit us again!

    Enjoy the Magic,

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
