Hello we have a two bedroom rented at old key west five adults 2 children first time to Disney world wondering what building and floor you would suggest thanks

    Hi Steven,

I love a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort. The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the villas are spacious and lovely! It is a great place for a stay with a large group like you have.

If you booked your reservation through Disney Vacation Club, you will have chosen either a villa that is "Near Hospitality House" or not. These buildings that are near the Hospitality House are also the closest to the pool area, shopping, and dining at Disney's Old Key West Resort. Some people like this proximity for convenience; others prefer to be further away from the hustle and bustle of this area to enjoy more quiet and solitude. If you booked your reservation through Disney but not through Disney Vacation Club, you likely did not have to indicate "Near Hospitality House" or not on your reservation. If you decide that you would like to be close to the Hospitality House with a non-Disney Vacation Club reservation, these buildings are numbered 11, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25, and 26.

As to floor, I typically like to be on a higher floor, regardless of where I am located within a resort. The higher floors are typically quiet and offer more expansive vistas. Also do note that buildings 62, 63, and 64, which are relatively near to the Hospitality House, are the only ones with elevators, so if someone in your party needs an elevator to be on an upper floor, keep this in mind. You also might want to consider proximity to a bus stop. In all of these situations, I find that it is better to describe what you are requesting rather than ask for a specific building. This way the cast member knows what you are looking for in a villa location. Please do remember that while Disney will do their best to honor any requests, they cannot be guaranteed.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Steven. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
