Hi Mary Jo!
Welcome home! And welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your question today. I love chatting about all things
Disney Vacation Club with fellow Members and helping them make the most of their membership! My family has been enjoying the flexibility of membership for several years now, and we love how it has changed the way we vacation at Disney Destinations. Most of all, I love that being a Member means that when I leave Walt Disney World, I know I’ll be back soon!
Let’s talk about one of my favourite Disney Vacation Club Resorts,
Disney’s Old Key West Resort! It was actually the first resort my husband and I stayed at when visiting Walt Disney World, and we loved it so much that we were Disney Vacation Club Members by the end of that trip!
You have a
range of rooms to choose from at this resort, including Deluxe Studios, One Bedrooms, Two Bedrooms, and the Grand Villas. The Two Bedroom Lock-Offs are a One Bedroom and a Deluxe Studio connected by an interconnecting door. They sleep the same number of adults and share the same floor space as a dedicated Two Bedroom. A benefit of choosing the lock-off category is that your guests will have the bonus of an additional kitchenette and an additional external entrance. This is great if you are vacationing as two families and would like a little extra privacy.
I hope this helps to answer your question today, Mary Jo, and that you enjoy your next stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort! While you are there, be sure to check out the Conch Flats General Store. It is one of my favourite stores at Walt Disney World, as in my experience it has one of the widest ranges of Disney Vacation Club merchandise, which happens to be my weakness!
If you have any further questions about your membership or vacation planning, please
reach out to me. I’d love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
