Hiya Tammy,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
I’m happy you’re planning a visit to the
Disneyland Resort! It seems you're getting all your Disney ducks in a row (“
Ah phooey!”), so I am happy to answer your question about Rider Switch!
Rider Switch is a service available to all Guests who may have members of their party who cannot ride certain attractions due to reasons such as not meeting height requirements (like your little Mouseketeers), Guests who have a service animal, or Guests who do not want to ride the attraction. Rider Switch is available at all attractions in
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, so you can use this service on your next visit with your family. I previously spoke with a Cast Member and Cindy reported that Rider Switch is available in both the
Lightning Lane and standby queues!
To request Rider Switch, Guests must first approach the greeting Cast Members in the queue and request this service. The Cast Members will divide the party into two groups of Guests who will ride, and there must be an adult in the party present to wait with the other members of the party while the first group boards the attraction. Once the first group arrives back after experiencing the attraction, the second group (or parent) can switch off and board! It’s easier than trying to pronounce “
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”!
If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
