Welcome Aboard, Melanie!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!
One of the best things about a Disney Cruise is that the incredibly attentive staff goes out of their way to ensure that each and every guest has the very best experience possible. From dining preferences to participation in children's activities, the crew members are there to help all guests fulfill their specific needs.
I'd suggest stopping by to visit the Youth Clubs on your first afternoon onboard so you can speak to the Youth Counselors about your specific situation. They're more than happy to work with you to make sure your son feels safe, comfortable and happy when participating in youth activities.
Pluto's PJ Party is a super-fun activity with story-telling, dancing and games, "recommended" for guests ages five and under. I'm sure they would be more than happy for your son to join in the fun!
Disney staffs their Youth areas with very caring, attentive counselors, and I've always been very impressed with them! We've had lots of experience with the Youth Clubs, from the nursery to the teen club, and my kids have loved them all. My youngest daughter can't wait to get to the Oceaneer Club/Lab each night after dinner - sometimes she even skips dessert! (If you know my daughter, that's unheard of!)
No worries - your son is sure to have a blast on his Disney Cruise Line vacation. Please let us know if you have any other planning questions, we're happy to help! Have a magical day! -Diane W.
