Ahoy, Roderick!
I'm thrilled to hEAR you'll be cruising on the
Disney Wonder-it's my favorite ship! Of course, that may be because she was our home ship for sailing to Alaska. I'll never forget getting to see glaciers and whales from onboard. You'll be enjoying much warmer climates as you explore Mexico on your 5-night Baja Cruise.
Located on Deck 9 of the Disney Wonder, the AquaLab is 1800-square foot water playground designed with play in mind featuring Twist 'n' Spout, a twisty turny double looping waterslide stretching 250 feet long. So I can SEA why grown-ups would want to get in on that action!
Peter Pan never wanted to grow up, and apparently Disney Cruise Line wants us all to embrace that same philosophy on its ships. Granted, the
AquaLab area was specifically designed with kids in mind, but many areas customized for kids often have adults there who are helping supervise their little ones and participate in the experience.
The only
age or height requirements I found for Twist 'n' Spout were that Guests must be at least 38 inches tall. I would say that if Disney Cruise Line wanted to cap the age or height for this attraction, they would have done so like they did for Mickey's Slide on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy (where Guests must be ages 4-14 and between 38" and 64" tall). And I don't see a maximum weight restriction.
While my gut tells me that "you can fly" down the twists and turns of Twist 'n' Spout, ultimately I would defer to what the Cast Member says who is staffing the slide. I hope that when the pixie dust settles, you get to have a SPLASHtastic time in the AquaLab and on the slide!
To stay on top of all the AquaLab offerings, its operating hours and activity schedules, check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or your Personal Navigator newsletter.
Fly back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have additional questions. Have a WONDERful cruise!
Happy Sailing!
