My twins will be 1.5 years old for their first trip in November 2020.. Looking for recommendations for dining, rides, etc. for little ones? We're frequent Disney flyers but these are our first babies so need to slow things down.

Hi Nicole! I am so excited for you and your family! My twins were just about two-years old when my wife and I took them for their first visit to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto! I'm happy to share a few recommendations that made our trip still feel like a vacation!

Tip #1: Schedule Down Time! You won't regret this! Head to the parks in the early morning. Take advantage of those early morning Extra Magic Hours. Spend the midday hours back at the resort. Let the twins take a nap in the room after a dip in the resort pool. Get them back to the parks for the early evening until they crash. They can sleep in the stroller!

Tip #2: Dining! We planned our Disney Dining around our sons' favorite characters. We went to Chef Mickey's and Tusker House! So much fun! I will also recommend Topolino's Terrace. This is a new restaurant at Disney's Riviera Resort Hotel! If your twins have a favorite character check out the Character Dining web page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Here you'll find all of the characters that your twins can meet during dining experiences. Be sure to book your reservation 180-days in advance as Character Dining tends to be very popular.

Tip #3: Rides! When the twins were little we came to the realization that we probably weren't going on a four park vacation. We picked Magic Kingdom for two-days and Hollywood Studios for one-day. In Magic Kingdom, our twins loved Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, People Mover, Pirates of the Caribbean, Under the Sea: Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Mickey's PhilharMagic, "it's a small world", Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion (yes, really!), the Barnstormer, and Jungle Cruise! Phew! At Hollywood Studios they enjoyed the attractions based around Disney Junior. They also loved the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! I am very excited to tell you that the twins will love the newest ride at that park! Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway will take you in the cartoon world of Mickey and all of his pals. I wish this ride was around when my twins were little! Be sure to experience this attraction! I love it!

Nicole, I could spend so much more time making recommendations, but I'm running out of space! Be sure to check back with the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have more questions! I hope those twins have a magical first visit!
