We have twin infants. We went to Akershus a couple of days ago. When we ordered our meals, the waiter informed us that we also could order off of the children's menu for our twins at no cost. What is the ordering policy for children under 3?

Howdy Karen!  What a lovely way for that Cast Member to add some magic to your day!

The policy is children under 3 are not charged for meals and may eat off an adult's plate.

While the extra magic you received at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is an exception to the rule, you will find that some of the other table service restaurants will make the same offer.  There is no list of which restaurants offer this and this offering is subject to change...but it's always a nice surprise when it happens.

When our kiddos were younger than 3, we most typically received this kind of attention at the table service restaurants in Epcot.  (Though that was a couple of years ago so many things could have changed.)

Regardless of where we dined and what was offered, it was rare that we didn't have enough food to enjoy ourselves and share with our little ones.  As you know, the portions are typically very large.

Based on your question, I'm hoping you are still enjoying some family time at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Enjoy your vacation and have a magical day!!
