Hi there Mylisande!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is coming up so soon and I know you must be eagerly anticipating the fun that awaits you when you set sail with Captain Mickey! Have you gathered your pirate garb for the
Pirates IN the Caribbean night?!?! My family always looks forward to the exciting deck party and my boys especially look forward to the delicious Johnnycake (cornbread) served during the pirate-themed dinner!
While vacation is
vacation-time and we do try to be a little more relaxed on our schedules, we find that often our boys are so tired (as are we) after a fun-filled day that we still keep their onboard bedtime as close to their at-home bedtime as possible! Because no matter how late they stay up, they inevitably wake at the same time and not enough sleep for my guys results in a less than magical day for everyone! The
staterooms do have a divider curtain which separates the area that the children typically sleep in and the queen-sized bed, and each stateroom does have a television that can extend and swivel so that it can be seen from both sides. Unfortunately, to my knowledge the stateroom televisions are not Bluetooth compatible, but I do recommend checking again once onboard to ensure the equipment has not changed. Honestly, though, we have found that we, ourselves are tired enough to go to sleep when our Mouseketeers do OR they are so exhausted that they will sleep through the television when on a low volume. We always travel with a portable sound machine, so perhaps that could help as well – especially if yours are used to sleeping with white noise.
Depending on the schedule at the
Buena Vista Theatre, my husband will often take advantage of an early bedtime for our boys and catch a first-run movie being shown. I use that time to catch up on reading or perusing the
Navigator app and planning the next day’s activities since there are so many to choose from and we never want to miss a thing!
Wishing you the most FANTAStic adventure ever with many memories made! It will be here before you know it! Say hi to Captain Mickey for me!
Happy Sailing!
