Hi there, Rachel! A happy early birthday to you! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I would love to help you plan your birthday celebration at the Happiest Place on Earth!
I spoke with a Cast Member this morning and was informed that outside balloons can be brought in as long as they don't have any logos or characters printed on them. While the Cast Member said there weren't any other restrictions, I would recommend that you purchase a balloon inside the parks. The balloons purchased at the Disneyland Resort are not only adorable, but they are made of really sturdy material that will last far beyond your special day. Just remember to bring cash to purchase a balloon from a vendor. Keep in mind that if you bring in your own, you will be responsible for carrying them with you the entire time. Furthermore, you cannot ride attractions with balloons so they would have to stay with someone outside of the attraction while you rode.
There are lots of other ways to celebrate your birthday while you are in the parks, however! First, pick up a complimentary birthday button at City Hall when you enter Disneyland Park. Then perhaps instead of bringing your own balloons, find a balloon vendor on Main Street, U.S.A. and ask to take a picture holding their large bunch of balloons. My daughter did this the last time we visited and the picture was so precious! Then, end your day with a special birthday
dinner and have a custom
celebration cake delivered to your table. Call (714) 781-3463 at least three days in advance to order your cake.
I hope your birthday at the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
