Hello there, Deena!
The Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to visit after a 21st birthday. There are so many fun-themed lounges across the four theme parks and all of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Deena, one of my favorite activities is using the complimentary Disney Transportation to “Resort hop” to different lounges. For example,
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the
Enchanted Rose in
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are conveniently located on the monorail loop.
To get back to your question, I recommend reviewing the guidance under this
frequently asked question. If you don’t have a new ID or your old ID has been tampered with, your next best option is to carry your original passport. I know many bars in the general Orlando area require passports if you don’t have a driver’s license too. It would be such a bummer if you brought the old ID and weren’t able to take advantage of all of the themed lounges available at the theme parks and Resort hotels.
If you are looking for recommendations for places to visit in the theme parks, two are my favorites are
Oga’s Cantina in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the
Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I’ve been able to join the waitlist for both of these spots in the past, but I recommend making an advanced dining reservation for Oga’s Cantina if it’s at the top of your list. Nomad Lounge doesn’t accept reservations, but I’ve had luck grabbing a spot by the water by showing up before they open. Plus, the Nomad Lounge churros are amazing!
May the magic be with you!Melanie
