I turn 30 on July 25th, 2020 and due to covid our Alaskan cruise was cancelled. I am wondering how to celebrate my 30th by drinking around the world at Epcot instead?! However, I know things could be very different, what can we do?!

Hi there Meghan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your vacation planning question!

First of all, happy birthday! I'm sorry to hear you won't be sailing the high seas this summer, but celebrating at the Most Magical Place on Earth could be just as exciting. Currently, EPCOT is scheduled to welcome Guests back on July 15, and I suggest following both the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World reopening information page for up to date details regarding theme park operations. It's a whole new world out there!

There are so many ways to make a special occasion even more magical at Walt Disney World. Don't forget to stop by the front desk of your resort hotel or a theme park Guest Relations booth to pick up your birthday pin. Cast Members love to celebrate with you, and you never know what sort of pixie-dust you may encounter!

If you are considering an adventure of international imbibing to commemorate the big 3-0, I have some tips to make the journey through World Showcase even more enjoyable. First, I recommend alternating between snacks and drinks at each pavilion. There are plenty of delicious treats to sample, and trying a few will help keep that rumbly in your tummy at bay while you sip your way around the world. Be sure to drink plenty of water, as the Force is strong with Florida summer sun. Experiencing the food and beverage offerings of World Showcase while soaking in the ambiance of the represented nations sounds like a fantastic way to spend your special day! If EPCOT Forever is showing during your visit, make sure to say goodnight with this beautiful and nostalgic nighttime spectacular.

Meghan, no matter how you choose to spend your big day, if you are celebrating in Walt Disney World with your fellow Mouseketeers, I know you will have a wonderful time. Last summer, my family and I celebrated my father in-law's 70th birthday by experiencing all of his favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom Park and enjoying a Mickey Mouse celebration cake in our resort room. It was practically perfect in every way, and I am looking forward to our next celebration at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If there is anything else we can do to make your birthday stay even happier, please come back and see us again. And when you are ready to set sail with Captain Mickey, stop by and chat with my friends Angie and Sherry. They'll sea to all your planning needs.

A very merry birthday to you!
