Does the turkey leg at fife and drum in Epcot count as a “snack” on my meal plan?

    Hi there, Katie!

It looks like your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is happening very soon! I'm happy to help you get some answers about the dining plan.

There's so much to see, do, and EAT on a Disney vacation - I like that you're planning ahead! My family loves including a dining plan as part of our Walt Disney World trips. It's so nice to know that our meals and snacks are taken care of before we arrive - no need to pull out our wallets every time hunger hits!

Both dining plan options - the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan - include a specific number of meals and snacks per night of your stay. The Quick-Service plan is perfect for families on the go, with two Quick-Service meals and one snack per day. The Disney Dining Plan includes one Quick-Service and one Table Service (sit-down) meal and one snack per day. Both dining plans also include a Resort Refillable Mug to use at your Disney Resort!

When it comes to snacks, there are SO many yummy options that qualify as a snack throughout Walt Disney World. Here's a basic rundown of what snack choices may include:

    • Ice cream novelty, popsicle or fruit bar
    • 2 scoops of hand-scooped ice cream
    • Popcorn scoop (single-serving box)
    • Piece of whole fruit
    • Single-serve bag of snacks
    • 20-ounce bottle of Coca-Cola products, including Dasani water
    • 20-ounce fountain soft drink
    • Single-serve coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, milk or juice
    • Cup of soup
    • Add-on toppings or sauces, such as a side of cheese dipping sauce
While some large and filling food options qualify as snacks, unfortunately, Disney's delicious and famous turkey legs at EPCOT's Fife and Drum Tavern do not. I'll admit, the last time we purchased a Turkey Leg on a Disney vacation, it was enough for two people - they're huge!

My favorite snacks at EPCOT are at the Festival Booths. With the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in full swing, 22 locations are offering special eats and treats for the festival, including 16 Food Studios. Look for the dining plan snack icon at the Food Studios to see which delicious offerings qualify as snacks!

I hope you have a magical time on your vacation, and enjoy some delicious meals and snacks along the way!
