From the TTC, how long does both the monorail and the boat take to get to the Magic Kingdom? A family member has IBS and needs to use the restroom frequently so we are trying to plan accordingly! Thank you!

    Hey Lois!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us this question.

The travel times between the Transportation & Ticket Center and the Magic Kingdom using either the monorail or the ferry will vary between 15-20 minutes. The times depend on the crowd levels and how long you will have to wait for the next monorail or ferry to arrive.

If you are looking for the travel times for other destinations within Walt Disney World property there is a great Transportation Wizard located on This site will give you many options between each destination including Disney Bus Transportation, monorail, boat and car.

Another item to consider which might make the trip for your family member more enjoyable is the Disability Access Service. This service is available to anyone with a unique need which might hinder them from being able to stand in line for a long period of time.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
