Ttaking our sons ages 5 & 9 on the Disney Dream in October. We have a 3 night stay booked at the Yacht Club after getting off the ship. Will there be time to visit a park the day that we disembark, or should we make that a pool day at the resort?

    Hi Catherine,

Wow, first the Disney Dream cruise and then the Yacht Club Resort.....can't get much better than that!  If you will have tickets to get into the Parks on all 3 of your days, you certainly have time to go to one of the Theme Parks (especially if one of them happen to have Extra Magic Hours in the evening for some extra added time on your check-in day).  On the other hand, it won't be a full day in the Park and if you only have a 2 day ticket then I wouldn't waste it on a half day in a Park versus a full day the following day.  You also have to consider that you will have the most awesome pool to swim in (well more like a Water Park), Stormalong Bay Pool which is 3 acres in size and I can easily spend a whole day swimming there (this is one of the best pools at the WDW Resorts in my opinion and both the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts share this fabulous swimming complex).

I suggest that you play it by ear and see what you feel like when you arrive, take a look at the pool (and weather!), and then decide what is best for your family on that day.  Hope this helps and that you have a very magical trip in October.

    Best wishes,
