We are trying to get a yak and yeti dinner reservation We will be in Orlando from sept 10 through the 20th We are annual pass holders what is my best option Frustrated that we can’t get Have been trying for several years and just not lucky I guess

    Jambo, Ronnie!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is my favorite theme park mostly because of the flavorful dishes that can be found within its gates. I especially love Yak & Yeti Restaurant for a midday or evening meal. In fact, my family and some of our dear friends are dining there very soon. I'd love to share with you how we've been able to pull up a seat at this Pan-Asian-inspired restaurant.

Be as flexible with your schedule. It's perfectly okay to make a dining reservation for a restaurant before you've settled on which theme park to make a park reservation for. Now, if you are staying on property, you are already in your advance dining reservation window. You can make an advance dining reservation up to 60 days in advance plus 10 days. If you're staying off-property, be sure to check for dining reservations around 6 a.m. EST up 60 days in advance for as many days of your vacation as possible. Also, try via the My Disney Experience app versus the website because sometimes it seems like there is more availability there.

My very first visit to Yak & Yeti Restaurant was actually a reservation I made on the day of! I randomly searched in the My Disney Experience app--and voila!--it was there for the taking. I will never forget the first day I had those infamous Ahi Tuna Nachos! Ronnie, Guests change their plans all of the time, so some will drop their reservations due to the 2-hour cancellation window. So, to your surprise, you may be able to pick up a last-minute dining reservation.

AN EXTRA GEM: If all else fails, Hakuna Matata! What's cool about this spot is that it has a quick-service option as well: Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes. The dishes, like the Sweet-and Sour Tempura Shrimp and Honey Sesame Chicken, have similar flavors, and the visit will be much shorter, so you can have more time to explore the theme park. This quick-service restaurant also serves breakfast, which is perfect for a morning pick-me-up before going on a safari or escaping a yeti.

Ronnie, I truly hope that you can finally experience this unique restaurant. From one Annual Passholder to another, I'm sending lots of pixie dust your way! If you have any other questions about your upcoming Disney adventure, please don't hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney.

    Magic always,
