    Hi Jane!

I suggest visiting the independent website  The author, Miss Cook, has done a great job creating learning challenges for young children.  This might help you in your endeavor.

Otherwise, some ideas that come to mind include:

    • Timing ride vehicles to see how long an attraction takes on average
    • Using the above to calculate the number of guests that can enjoy an attraction in an hour
    • Timing transactions at a food vendor cart and calculating how many guests are served in an hour and in a day
    • Calculating the distance between various attractions
    • Estimating the attendance in the park by counting the number of guests in a certain area and then multiplying by the size of a park
I hope this helps.  Please write back with more questions!
